You've Got Great Plans For Me
This was for
Scrapping the Music's challenge this week. I love the song they chose. Pictured is my little girl on the way. Crazy to think she'll be here in 6 weeks! The journaling reads: May you perceive the heart of Him who made you. Know you are part of the Great Romance and say, "You've Got Great Plans for Me". The scripture reads: The Lord will guide you continually Isaiah 58:11 I made the flowers myself by cutting 2 pieces of cardstock into the basic flower shape, distressing the edges, with my scissors, and sewing the button on top. I used glitter paint to give it the glimmer mist look.
Just some dots with my puff paint created the pink flourishes, so much cheaper than buying some rhinestones!
I used a torn page from a book as an accent. One of my new favorite things to do. A terrible book doesn't have to be a total loss now!

These Are The Days You'll Remember
This layout is titled, "These are the Days You'll Remember" and I created it for this week's challenge at Scrapping the Music - such a great source for inspiration. Pictured are my son and my mama back in November. My mama was riding back with us to Missouri from Texas, where she lives. She and Gauge needed to get out and stretch their legs. I was inspired by Stehpanie Garbett's stitching. I made zig zag stitches around the inside of the largest circle to create this layout. I used the full strand of embroidery floss to create this layout.

Here I am 32 weeks pregnant now. I can't say I'll keep up with this any better than I have in the past.

This is my niece, Sabra. This layout is about how she brings me so much joy. It's titled, "Your Life Shines on Cloudy Days".
This little Wide Eyed Wonder pictured above is me as a baby. Had so much fun scrapping me as a baby for the first time.

Here are a few recent layouts for the sharing...I might come back and share some details later of the how to's

Great Quotes

I'm always looking for great quotes over which to meditate or sneak into a layout. I found some great ones today.
Henry David Thoreau:
Nature will bear the closest inspection. She invites us to lay our eye level with her smallest leaf, and take an insect view of its plain.

James Russell Lowell:
A weed is no more than a flower in disguise.

This one made me laugh! Sorry to those it may offend
Cats are intended to teach us that not everything in nature has a function.

Trees are the earth's endless effort to speak to the listening heaven.
